The young women who take part in our Girls enPower Project are inspired to be smart, strong, bold and entrepreneurial. We have partnered with the non-profit organization GirlsInc of Durham to create this project. Girls Inc works with young women (between the ages of 6-18) in areas of, self-esteem, education, resiliency, empowerment and health. We have also partnered with Durham Colleges Centre For Food (CFF), where a food business program was created by Enactus DC that allows the women of Girls enPower to design their own unique food product through recipe creation, product development training, and entrepreneurship training. The young women are able to sell their food product, and manage their online stores. Proceeds from the sales of the product are re-invested into Girls Inc non-profit program.
