Over the past 10 years reports of a mental health crisis on college campuses have been on the rise, with students reporting a sharp increase in difficulty managing stress & anxiety. They are experiencing sleep issues and frequent illness due to stress and are compromising their chances of success in the process. If colleges don’t step up and address these needs, by modelling the essential life skills to cope with all these daily stressors, students will inevitably drop out and face the difficulties that come with lacking essential employability skills in order to be successful in a competitive job market. “True Grit” is a online modular wellness program that guides students through the principles of personal wellness. Building on the seven dimensions of wellness, students are empowered to make positive changes in their emotional, intellectual, physical, social, spiritual and occupational lives.
