President & Project Lead - Second Sole
Jonathan Grant
Jonathan Grant is the President of Enactus Durham College and Project Lead for Second Sole, a social enterprise transforming nitrile glove waste into opportunity. In his final year of the Environmental Technology program at Durham College, Jonathan blends science, entrepreneurship, and community impact. With a passion for climate action and systems change, he leads teams that turn ideas into measurable outcomes, empowering students to build solutions that create lasting environmental and social change on campus and beyond.

David Moge
David Moge is the Vice President of Enactus Durham College and the team’s Mental Health Ambassador, supporting both student leadership and team well-being. With experience in data analytics, AI, and business intelligence, he enjoys using technology to tackle real-world challenges. David is passionate about innovation, sustainability, and fostering a supportive environment where students feel empowered to grow, collaborate, and create meaningful community impact.

Tech Lead | Second Sole Researcher
Sahil Mehra
Sahil is the Tech Lead for Enactus Durham College and conducts research for the Second Sole project to identify the most effective solutions to nitrile waste, with a strong interest in preserving the environment. He is a scholarly student in the final semester of his Artificial Intelligence program at Durham College, with experience in software development and cybersecurity. He strives to draw on his past experiences to deliver the best possible solutions to the problem at hand.

Mental Wellness Ambassador and Speaker
Haley Maddess
Haley Maddess is a third year Environmental Technology student working at Durham College. She has been a key researcher and speaker for the project Second Sole; representing our project and team on a national stage. This year she has taken on an additional an advocacy role through the Mental Wellness Ambassador program. She hopes to continue a path that can help both people and the world we live on through her work on Enactus.

Benjamin Arsenault
Ben is an environmental technology student in his final year at Durham College. With experience in environmental conservation, he has supported Second Sole with product consultations and research. Ben is currently collaborating with Durham College Faculty to research First Nations agricultural practices to mitigate crop yield damage from climate change.

Media Lead
Cindy Tran
Cindy is a freelance videographer and photographer in her second year of the Video Production Program at Durham College. Previously, she earned her Master's in Cinema Studies at the University of Toronto and has since worked with clients ranging from small content creators to festivals and research organizations. She is passionate about screen-based arts and about using her multimedia experience to support the community.

Researcher - Second Sole
Thomas King
Tom King is a final-year environment technology student at Durham College. He has experience in manufacturing and logistics, which he has used to support Second Sole with operations and process development. Tom is currently working with Friends of Second Marsh on conservation work in Oshawa as his field placement.

Financial Advisor
Lisa Murray
Lisa Murray is in the Business Accounting program at Durham College, with a strong background in accounting and business. She has gained experience across various roles, effectively applying and strengthening her skills. She contributes to Enactus Durham College by supporting accurate budgeting, careful spending, and maintaining financial discipline through clear procedures and guidelines. Lisa enjoys meeting new people and learning about different cultures and backgrounds, believing that shared experiences help build stronger communities. She is passionate about self-development and continuously seeks opportunities to grow both personally and professionally.

Marketing Lead
Raven Sy
Raven is the 2024 Microsoft Excel Canadian National Champion and the 2025 Durham College Sales Competition winner. A scholarly student pursuing an Advanced Diploma in Marketing and Business Administration, he blends analytical rigour with creativity to design evidence‑based, impact‑driven, and integrated marketing communications and solutions that support Enactus projects and the Durham community. A multidisciplinary learner, he spends his Thursdays at the Royal Canadian Military Institute as part of his internship with the NATO Association of Canada.

Piradeep Selvakumarasamy
Piradeep Selvakumarasamy is a freelance photographer and is in the 2nd year of the photography program at Durham College. He has experience in portraits, events, and product photography. He has worked alongside teachers to capture photos for various events, building a strong reputation with them. Piradeep is passionate about his photography and hopes to share his work and connect with more people in the future.

Klara Lacroix-Clermont
Klara is a first-year student in Computer Programming and Analysis at Durham College. She has studied Mechanical Engineering for 2 years, gaining experience in designing parts using AutoCAD and Inventor. She is currently the product designer for Enactus Durham College, where she is applying her skills and knowledge to Second Sole.

Media Videographer
Bryan Liong Fah
Bryan is an international student from Mauritius in his second year of the Video Production program at Durham College. He is a freelance videographer and photographer with experience in weddings, events, automotive content, and student-led projects. He focuses on creating cinematic visuals and compelling stories across media.

Minh Tâm Trần
Tâm is a freelance videographer and photographer in her second year of the Video Production program at Durham College. She has gained hands-on experience through internships with Vietnam Cable Television and a Canadian startup, as well as through various roles on Canadian film sets. Her work spans videography, photography, and post-production, with a growing focus on camera and editing workflows. Tâm continues to build practical skills through collaborative, real-world projects.

Pierre Villar
Pierre is the media photographer for Enactus Durham College. He is currently a first-year photography student at Durham College in Oshawa. Pierre began his photography journey 2 years ago on an iPhone and only recently switched to a camera in October 2025. Pierre primarily focuses on freelance photography and specializes in landscape and portrait photography.

Andre Bell
Andre Bell is a videographer for Enactus at Durham College. He is a first-year Video Production student, using his natural affinity for storytelling and editing to create impactful, useful videos for those who require quality service. He also has years of photography experience and manages his own professional photography business, which has been in service since 2023, specializing in portraits and landscapes.

Graphic Designer
Rebecca Lewis
Rebecca is a graphic design student at Durham College with a background in photography. Currently in her second year, she enjoys exploring a wide range of creative disciplines and styles as she refines her creative voice. She has also worked on freelance projects, including collaborating with CFUW’s (formerly the Canadian Federation of University Women) Oshawa district. Over the summer, she was employed on campus by the Communications and Marketing department and offered her design work for Durham College. Rebecca has a passion for learning as she continues to find her niche in the world of design.

Mia Dawkins
Mia is a freelance photographer and videographer currently studying photography at Durham College. She has experience in sports and event photography and has worked with basketball teams such as Ontario Tech Women’s Basketball and the George Brown Women’s Basketball team, shooting numerous games for both programs. She also collaborates with basketball organizations, including OBA, OSBA, and the D-League. Mia is passionate about visual storytelling and capturing authentic moments that highlight athletes, teams, and the communities behind them.

Mateo Valles
Mateo Valles is a third-year computer programmer for Enactus at Durham College. With his skill set, he oversees web development and security for the team’s websites and ensures smooth communication among team members. Drawing on his unique experiences in wrestling, dance, and musical theatre, he offers perspectives that help propel the team forward.

Rogier Ten Kate
Rogier is a passionate educator and consultant with 25 years of industry experience in international sales, marketing, and organizational change. Currently a professor and program coordinator at Durham College, he specializes in International Business Management. He has worked across multiple industries and countries, including Holland, Belgium, the USA, and Switzerland, enhancing his cultural adaptability. Rogier also runs a consultancy, helping organizations implement Action Learning and navigate sustainable change. He formerly served on the board of the World Institute for Action Learning.

K. Jennifer Bedford is an educator and researcher who coordinates the Media Fundamentals program at Durham College. Since 2023, she has served as a faculty advisor to Enactus DC, supporting student teams in developing award‑winning, socially focused projects. Her work emphasizes research‑informed teaching, innovation, and meaningful student impact.

Kelly Webdale is an educator, professor, and program coordinator in the Faculty of Business. Passionate about student engagement and experiential learning, she fosters opportunities that connect theory to practice. As a faculty advisor for EnactusDC, she mentors students in social entrepreneurship and project development, helping them create impactful initiatives that drive positive change.
